How do I choose the right absorber size?
Absorber size is determined by your lowest test frequency. Larger absorbers provide lower-frequency absorption: 2-inch absorbers work down to 3 GHz, 4-inch to 1 GHz, 8-inch to 500 MHz, 12-inch to 300 MHz, 18-inch to 200 MHz, 24-inch to 100 MHz, and 36-inch to 30 MHz. What is the minimum order quantity?
Our standard order unit is a 10-pack (ten 24″ × 24″ panels). There is no minimum beyond a single 10-pack. For large chamber installations, contact us at sales@dbabsorber.com for volume pricing.
How quickly do your absorbers ship?
In-stock sizes (2″, 4″, 8″, and 12″) ship within 1–2 business days from our California warehouse. Special order sizes (18″, 24″, and 36″) typically ship within 2–4 weeks. Most competitors quote 6–8 week lead times for standard sizes.
Are your absorbers fire safety certified?
Yes. Our absorbers are independently tested and certified to ASTM E84 Class A (the highest fire safety rating) and meet U.S. Navy NRL 8000 I, II, and III specifications. Full test reports are available upon request for building code compliance documentation.
What frequency range do pyramidal absorbers cover?
Pyramidal RF absorbers provide broadband absorption from as low as 30 MHz (with 36-inch absorbers) up to 110 GHz across all sizes. The pyramidal geometry creates a gradual impedance transition that absorbs electromagnetic energy across multiple decades of bandwidth.
